Born in England, 1965. Currently resides in Brisbane, Australia.
1984 Studied at Queensland College of Art, left in 1985 to persue her own style.
Caroline has been a bead maker and jewellery designer since 1984. She began her own
style of work whilst at Art School, studying Jewellery Design and Ceramics. She became so involved with that, she decided to leave and pursue her own style.
The main focus of her work at that time was handpainting beads (read more on this in bead section of the site) . Whilst travelling and living in different parts of the world she began collecting antique and vintage beads and interesting objects. This then eventually became incorporated with her painted work and a new style of jewellery was born.
Caroline has exhibited in Australia and in the U.S.ultimately showing her unique style at
SOFA Chicago with Raglan Gallery, Sydney in 2001-2002.
After a long career as a Jewellery Designer/Maker, she decided to take a break a few years ago to pursue other interests which included her love of handpainted furniture which is equally as intricate as her painted beads.
All roads lead back to jewellery and beadpainting which was her first love. So has begun a new chapter in Carolines'jewellery career. Hope it will be as much fun and interesting as the first time around.
